The Royal College of Nurses and Cardiff University have been researching the concept of professional judgement amongst nurses - aiming to quantify the use of professional judgement to make decisions.

The workshop was attended by 30 nurses, of all levels, across several trusts in both England and Wales. The day discussed the issues as well as worked on a work-in-progress template designed to help qualify professional judgement in a way that was easy to use, and most importantly, agreeable to the nurses that would have to use it.
