In 2022 AdvanceChoice.org was created in response to research on Advance Choice Documents (ACDs) - which give people living with severe mental illness an opportunity to state their wishes and instructions about your treatment and care during future episodes of illness. It was concluded that education on what ACDs are and how they can be created. So a website was created, housing educational videos and resources, which has now become a recommended resource by the NHS.

As well as partnering with key stakeholders, which include highly regarded researchers and charities such as Bipolar UK, Action on Postpartum Psychosis and Money and Mental Health Matters, Advance Choice has become a go-to advisory channel for the Department of Health and Social Care to help aid the reformation of the Mental Health Act.
